Step-by-step: tracking any parcel in South Africa
Check your order confirmation email or shipping notification. It will usually say something like "your order has been dispatched" and include a waybill number, tracking number, or reference number. It may also be on the physical label stuck to your parcel.
Your shipping email or order status page will usually name the courier. If you ordered from Takealot, Shein, Superbalist, or a local online store, the courier is typically The Courier Guy, Fastway, RAM, or Aramex. If unsure, contact the seller.
Head to ParcelTrack.co.za, find your courier in the list, type or paste your tracking number into the field next to it, and click Track.
You'll be taken directly to your courier's official tracking page with your number already filled in, showing the current status, location, and estimated delivery of your parcel.
How to find out which courier is delivering your parcel
This is one of the most common problems South African online shoppers face. Here's how to figure it out:
Check your shipping email. Most online stores send a "your order has shipped" email that names the courier and includes a tracking link. Search your inbox for the store name or "shipped" or "dispatched".
Log into your store account. Go to the store where you placed the order, log in, and check your order history or order status. Most stores show the courier name and tracking number there.
Look at the waybill format. Some couriers use recognisable tracking number formats — for example, Courier Guy waybills often start with "BOB", RAM waybills are typically numeric, and PostNet uses a "PN" prefix. If you can identify the format, that may tell you the courier.
Contact the seller. If all else fails, message or email the seller and ask which courier they used. They will have the dispatch details.

How do I track my parcel in South Africa?
Go to ParcelTrack.co.za, find your courier in the list, enter your waybill or tracking number and click Track. You'll be taken directly to your courier's tracking page with your number already filled in. All major South African couriers are supported — completely free, no sign-up needed.
What if I don't know which courier is delivering my parcel?
Check your order confirmation or shipping email — it usually names the courier. You can also log into the store where you ordered and check your order status page. If you still can't tell, contact the seller and ask which courier they used to dispatch your order.
Where do I find my tracking number or waybill number?
Your tracking number is on your order confirmation email, shipping notification email, or on the label attached to your parcel. Depending on the courier it may be called a waybill number, tracking number, reference number, parcel ID, or drop label.
Why is my parcel not showing when I try to track it?
Parcels only appear in tracking once they have been scanned at a courier depot or collection point. If your parcel was handed over recently, it can take a few hours before tracking updates. If it has been more than 24 hours with no movement, contact your courier directly. You can find all courier contact numbers on our contact page.
Is ParcelTrack.co.za free to use?
Yes, completely free. No sign-up, no account, no fees — ever. ParcelTrack.co.za is an independent directory that has been helping South Africans track their parcels since 2008.
Can I track a parcel if I only have a tracking number but don't know the courier?
Unfortunately there is no universal system that can identify the courier from a tracking number alone. Your best options are to check your order confirmation email, log into the store's website to view your order, or contact the seller directly. Once you know the courier, come back to ParcelTrack.co.za to track it instantly.
